The Fulton DeKalb Hospital Authority (FDHA), proud owners of Grady Health Systems (GHS) is sponsoring its 5th Annual FDHA Health Summit on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at 265 Peachtree Center Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30303.
The summit’s theme is “Building a Healthy Community: One Step at a Time”. The purpose of the Health Summit is to build a healthy community by sharing resources and solutions through various workshops, a town hall forum, and wellness screenings.

NAMI DeKalb and DeKalb CSB have partnered with Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre at their final dress rehearsal for the award winning family drama “Proof.” “Proof” is the Pulitzer Prize and Tony award winning family drama about the relationship between fathers and daughters, mental illness, and the power of love.
All of the proceeds from the final dress rehearsal will benefit NAMI DeKalb and DeKalb Community Service Board.

The September 22nd board meeting of the DeKalb Community Service Board is open to the public for those who are interested in services for mental health, addiction and developmental disabilities. The meeting will be held at 4:00 pm at 445 Winn Way, Room 421, Decatur, GA 30030.
The Advocacy Committee meeting will be held in the same room at 3:00 pm and is also open to the public.
The Audit, Finance and Compliance meeting will be held in the same room on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 12:00 pm and is also open to the public.

This free training is for individuals without a clinical background.
No CEU’s are offered for this course.
Participants will be provided with:
- an overview of the impact of trauma on the development and behavior of children for non-clinical child welfare, educational and law enforcement professionals,
- an overview about ways professionals can respond to traumatized children and families in a trauma-sensitive manner for non-clinical child welfare, educational and law enforcement professionals,
- resources about nationally available resources for traumatized populations.
