This free training is for individuals without a clinical background.  

No CEU’s are offered for this course.

Participants will be provided with:

  • an overview of the impact of trauma on the development and behavior of children for non-clinical child welfare, educational and law enforcement professionals,
  • an overview about ways professionals can respond to traumatized children and families in a trauma-sensitive manner for non-clinical child welfare, educational and law enforcement professionals,
  • resources about nationally available resources for traumatized populations.

Learning Objectives

As a result of this training, participants will:

  • Be able to identify 3 ways trauma impacts the social, cognitive or physical development of children.
  • Identify 1 key strategy to create a collaborative relationship with traumatized individuals.
  • Able to list 2 ways trauma informed services can support their work.
