Message from the CEO

To Our Stakeholders and Supporters:

The DeKalb Community Service Board (CSB) proudly serves as the public safety net provider of mental health, developmental disabilities and addiction services to citizens of DeKalb County, Georgia who are faced with these challenges. Our staff of physicians, nurses, clinicians and support personnel is dedicated to helping our consumers and their families recover from these debilitating disabilities and resume productive lives within the community.

Annually the DeKalb CSB serves more than 10, 000 of our fellow citizens and have witnessed countless individuals reclaiming lives once fractured by depression, bipolar

disorder and schizophrenia; severely emotionally disturbed children reclaiming their childhood; families reclaiming stability and trust; adolescents reclaiming a sense of balance amid the stress of school and relationships; adults reclaiming victory over addiction; and older adults reclaiming joy and independence.

The DeKalb CSB is appreciative and grateful for the support of our funders and contributors, the DeKalb County government and our community partners. Without their support the programs and services offered by the DeKalb CSB would not be possible.

The ultimate goal of the DeKalb CSB is to ensure that persons challenged with behavioral health and developmental disabilities receive the appropriate care that allows them to continue productive lives in the community.
