Substance Use Day and Evening Treatment

To move towards the goal of achieving and maintaining recovery from substance related and other psychiatric disorders, we provide treatment including group counseling, individual counseling, skill building, education, random urine drug screening, and/or family treatment sessions and case management in a structured, clinical setting. Outpatient treatment provided at the DeKalb Addiction Clinic is abstinence-based and recovery-oriented.

Day Intensive Outpatient: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 9 am to 12:30 pm

Evening Intensive Outpatient: Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 5 pm to 8:20 pm

Available Services:

  • Psychoeducational & therapy groups
  • Individual Therapy with a licensed clinician
  • Diagnostic Assessment and ongoing psychiatric treatment
  • Pharmacotherapeutic interventions (Antabuse, Campral, Naltrexone, etc.)
  • Nursing Assessment
  • Referral to medical services
  • Random weekly drug screens
  • HIV testing & counseling
  • Pharmacy Services
  • Eligible for half-fare Marta card, Marta bus line #125 stops in front of DAC
  • 12-step (NA, AA & Double Trouble),  Secular Organization for Sobriety (SOS) and SMART Recovery meetings on site
  • Motivation enhanced track for those in pre-contemplation stage of change

Additional option

For individuals who would prefer less intensive treatments than those listed above, outpatient treatment for addictive disease and other psychiatric disorders is available in each of our mental health clinics including individual and group therapy and psychiatric services.
