In response to the Brookhaven Apartment Fire, Brighter DeKalb Foundation launched the Residential Program Fire Relief Fund to aid DeKalb CSB residents affected by the June 3rd fire.

“Recovery and rebuilding can take some time,”  said Dr. Joseph Bona, Chief Executive Officer of DeKalb CSB.  “Although temporary housing has been secured for all the displaced clients, this fire completely destroyed all of their belongings—including furniture, clothes and personal items. This Fire Relief Fund will directly assist the victims with their immediate needs as they rebuild their lives and work toward their longer term recovery goals.”

Donations are tax deductible and will be used to purchase clothing, shoes, toiletries, furniture and other necessities.  “We appreciate the community’s support as we help these individuals recover a sense of normalcy after the fire.”

Monetary donations can be made payable to the Brighter DeKalb Foundation.
